I am married with a 21 year old daughter who just got married in December, 2007.
I like reading, mostly non fiction and biography's. I have always read a lot of self help books, they never help, but I like reading them. I enjoy reading Deepak Chopra. He can write about spiritual things and use neuroscience and quantum physics in a way I can understand. My favorite book is probably Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan's "Shadows of forgotton ancestors" about the origins of life on earth and human nature. I guess what interest me is spirituality with the science to back it up. I'm not religious but I like to read about religions and I also like to read about cultures that are very different from mine.



I like cooking, music, TV. I also like riding my bike. I guess I use most of my free time on the internet. I always have one thing or another I'm into. I sold things on ebay and amazon for a while. I like looking at recipes and reading poetry and looking at pictures from space. I have a cousin that sends me jokes and all kinds of amazing video clips and pictures in my email.

My favorite thing is to be with my daughter. We like to walk in the park or down by the river or watch movies together. She is the light of my life. She can make my day by just walking through the door. Even if she's in a bad mood. I wouldn't tell her that though.

I love eating. I like almost any kind of food. Especially sweets. Most of my child hood memories have something to do with chocolate. I like eating out with my husband. We don't talk much, just chow down. I never had much trouble with my weight but right now I could stand to lose 15 or 20 pounds. My stomach is bulging out quite a bit. I intend to start working out again soon. Maybe I'll Start Monday.

My parents live about 6 miles from me and I spend a lot of time helping them. They're not in good health and I am hoping to be able to keep them in their own home until they die. I hope I'm up to the challenges ahead. (Dad died in September 2008)

I love garage sales and flee markets. Any where I can get a good deal. I'm very thrifty. Some have called it cheap. There have been times when I haven't had to worry too much about what I spend, but I never thought that was as much fun as looking for the best deals. I guess I wouldn't be a good at being rich. Which is good because I can see that is not going to happen any time soon.

I'm not a good or clever writer. My daughter says my writing is "choppy" and asked if I think like that, which I do. I can't spell and I guess punctuations. But I like Live Journal and love reading other journals. Besides maybe I'll learn something about writing and improve.
